Cynthia Souza, President

Cynthia was one of the original founders of the Arts Leadership Alliance, which made the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts a reality. She has served as Grand Foundation Vice President for the past three years. Cynthia has a B.A. degree in Journalism, and a career background in Chamber of Commerce management, sales, public relations and corporate identity marketing, that she has capitalized upon to help further the Grand Foundation’s mission.

She currently serves on the Grand Foundation's Endowment Committee (current chair, 2ndyear), Student Film Festival Committee (current chair, 4thyear), served on the Program Advisory and Community Outreach Committee (past chair, 2 years). She feels the Grand Theatre has been a positive and growing arts presence for the Tracy area and beyond.

Cynthia has three children, one of whom recently graduated with a BFA in musical theater from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Cynthia is also Past Chair of the Community Foundation of San Joaquin and serves on the Donor Advisory and Audit Committees. In addition, she is serves as the Equine/Horse Group Leader for Jefferson 4-H. She has always loved the arts in all forms and has dabbled in water color and acrylic painting, as well as photography. Her primary goal, along with her other Grand Foundation board members, is to ensure the sustainability of arts programming at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts for future generations.
