Underwriting

Grand Foundation underwriting has supported concerts, exhibitions, and arts education since the Grand Theatre opened in 2007. In addition, Foundation support has funded the purchase of important equipment and supplies for the Grand Theatre.

Mick LaSalle, Film Critic for the San Francisco Chronicle, to Headline Foundation's Student Film Festival

The Grand Foundation is pleased to announce that Mick LaSalle will be the Film Talk speaker at the Student Film Festival at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts on March 17, 2018. Mr. LaSalle is a film critic for the San Francisco Chronicle and an author of several books about the film industry. 

The Student Film Festival will also feature Sean Totanes, a West High graduate who works in the film industry. The films of twenty five talented young filmmakers will be screened during the course of the day-long event.
